Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for the SSC Phase 9 Recruitment Exam 2021:
Age Limit: The minimum age limit for candidates is 18 years and maximum age limit is 30 years. However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates as per government norms.
Educational Qualification: The educational qualification required for different posts is given below:
- For Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Candidates should have passed class 12th or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
- For Data Entry Operator (DEO): Candidates should have passed class 12th or equivalent with Science stream and Mathematics as a subject from a recognized board or university.
- For Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA): Candidates should have passed class 12th or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
Application Process:
The application process for SSC Phase 9 Recruitment Exam 2021 is online. Candidates can apply through the official website of SSC. The application fee for the recruitment is Rs. 100/- for General/OBC candidates while SC/ST/PWD/women candidates are exempted from paying any fee.

Selection Process:
The selection process for SSC Phase 9 Recruitment Exam 2021 varies for different posts. The following is the selection process for each post:
Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA):
- Computer-Based Examination: Candidates will have to appear for a computer-based examination which will consist of objective type questions based on General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.
- Skill Test: Candidates who qualify the computer-based examination will be called for a skill test. The skill test will be conducted to assess the candidate’s typing speed.
Data Entry Operator (DEO):
- Computer-Based Examination: Candidates will have to appear for a computer-based examination which will consist of objective type questions based on General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.
- Skill Test: Candidates who qualify the computer-based examination will be called for a skill test. The skill test will be conducted to assess the candidate’s data entry speed.
Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA):
- Computer-Based Examination: Candidates will have to appear for a computer-based examination which will consist of objective type questions based on General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.
- Typing Test: Candidates who qualify the computer-based examination will be called for a typing test. The typing speed required for the post of PA/SA is 35 words per minute (w.p.m) in English and 30 w.p.m. in Hindi.
